Silence in The Library

Series 4, Episode 9: "Silence in the Library"

Episode Summary:




What we learn about River in this episode:
  • She is from the 51st century.
  • She is a professor, and an archeologist.
  • She likes to call the Doctor pet names, like 'Sweety' and 'Pretty Boy'.
  • She to her, she always lies.
  • The Doctor always comes when she calls.
  • She is in possession of the Doctor's sonic screwdriver, despite his insistence that he doesn't give it to just anyone.
  • She keeps a diary of her life, and more specifically, about her time-traveling adventures with the Doctor, that she uses to compare where they are in each-other's personal time-stream.
  • Up to this point in the Doctor's personal time-stream, he hasn't met her yet.
  • She has a list with pictures of all of the Doctor's regenerations, even though he never shows up in the right order.
  • The Doctor isn't allowed to see inside the book, because it is against the rules (his rules).
  • She trusts the Doctor with her life.
  • She refuses to give him any clues about who or what she is, even to him, often exclaiming "Spoilers".
  • At this particular point, she has not seemed to have ever met Donna.
  • She appears to have a sonic blaster that strangely resembles the one belonging to Captain Jack Harkness.
